Does anyone else have a del.icio.us (or similar site) account besides Dave? I like having immediate access (via RSS) to friends' public bookmarks and I think more people should use these.

Okay, I have a project due a week from Monday. I have to build a Flash game. I am totally at a loss for ideas. So I am turning to you guys for inspiration. What would you like to see in a Flash game? Is there a particularly good game mechanic that you would like to see used? A particular theme? Feel free to suggest anything.

The idea I ultimately choose must meet the following criteria:
Time Limit: I won’t be able to work on it this weekend, which means I have about seven days to do the project to completion with art, programming, sound effects, etc. It should not be “large.” That is, it should not require creating multiple levels or enormous amounts of animations.
Programmer Art: I am a programmer, not an artist. I can do basic drawing and animation in Flash, but I’m not very advanced.
PG-13: If it got a movie rating it would have to be PG-13 or younger.

Additionally, the game should meet the following criteria, but it is not, strictly speaking, necessary:
Innovative: It should have something to it that is new or innovative for a Flash game.
Programming Challenge: The game should somewhat challenge my programming skills, so it should be more advanced than Pong, but it doesn’t have to be a full RPG engine or anything like that.
Style: These projects are graded as much for aesthetics as for technical skill, so it should have a coherent visual and auditory style.

Again, feel free to pitch any idea. I’m really just looking for some inspiration.

What's the last thing you crafted, constructed or created yourself?

I just finished writing some 68000 (the processor in the Sega Genesis, amongst other devices) assembly code to draw a football field.

Sounds like the big gimmick is the online leagues, which is awesome! That's something I've been hoping they'd do for a while now.

I took four years of Spanish in high school and I barely remember any of it. I've been thinking a lot lately about trying to learn a foreign language (for real this time). I like the way Dutch sounds; and I'm enamoured with Dutch culture, but Dutch isn't a very practical choice because I'll never meet anyone to practice it with. Spanish seems like the obvious and practical choice, especially since I'm moving to Florida, but I feel rather negatively about it due to the aforementioned high school years. The other option I've been kicking around is French. I like the way French sounds when it's spoken fluidly, but I feel like it would take me years to get to that point. I wonder how hard Dutch is.

A certain someone asked me to take down the picture of her that I had posted on here. So I replaced it.

I have heard a rumor that Vox is not Safari friendly. Is this true?
